For thousands of years, the humans have been at war with dragons. That changed several centuries ago when a village found out that dragons hatched from eggs are docile, so they made themselves a kingdom where only human-hatched dragons stay, protected by law. They soon conquered the world using trained war dragons with obsidian armor, and back-mounted towers with dragonbone crossbow turrets on the largest of the stone dragons.
As the world got conquered, divisions started to break off into new kingdoms, then eventually countries. The domesticated dragons eventually became aware enough to learn how to speak like humans and think for themselves. They then made their own countries and many other countries run by humans now welcome dragons as pedestrians.
