The Stone Dragon is a sub-species of dragon that lies atop the peaks of the extreme hills and mountain biomes, and is worse at flying than most other dragons because it started to use its wings less for flying.
Appearance[]
This dragon has smaller wings, a spiked club at the end of its tail, and big bull horns. It comes in four different colors, which are: Granite, Steel, Brown, and Ruby.
Spawning[]
These dragons are proud tyrant kings of the mountains, spawning at stages 1-3 on the peaks of those mountains and very rarely stage 4 & 5 in underground bubbles.
Drops[]
The loot from any dragon generally depends on the stage of the dragon. All dragons always drop Dragon Bones and a Dragon Skull, but can Dragon Flesh, a Dragon Heart, and scales. You can also get dragon Blood by right-clicking a dead dragon with an empty bottle, but it'll reduce the amount of flesh and scales that the Stone Dragon drops. The most important drop from a dragon is a Dragon egg, which can be harvested from a dead female stage 4 or 5 dragon. It may occasionally drop 2 eggs.
Behavior[]
These dragons are very aggressive, attacking literally everything that gets close to their nest, including other stone dragons if their color is different. Very racist dragons. Their horns are about 1/3 bigger on the males, being used for winning over the mates in a 'wrestling match', where they try to knock each other down with interlaced horns, similar to how deer decide who gets the female. They also slam their tails on the ground, creating explosions different sizes based on the level to claim areas.
Abilities[]
Unlike almost every other dragon, they can't fly, but they can run and swim pretty fast. They don't have any ranged attacks, so they have to use meelee attacks. It has 9 natural moves:
- Roar: The dragon roars loudly on their hind legs and can cause weakness I for 14 seconds to mobs if it's stage 4 or 5.
- Super Roar: Same as the last one, but causes weakness II if used by a stage 4 or 5 dragon.
- Boulder Smash: The rock dragon digs up a chunk of rock and dirt and throws it at its target and does massive damage, as well as making a crater that's twice as big as a charged creeper's.
- Bite: The dragon bites the target.
- Chomp: The dragon bites you, but does more damage and breaks blocks.
- Tail Whip: The dragon whips it's tail to fling the target and do damage.
- Tail Smash: A stage 3+ Stone Dragon slams it's club tail on top of the opponent, flinging the target 4 blocks into the air if it doesen't make a direct hit and creates an explosion with the crater size being determined on the size of the dragon. (Stage 3, TNT, stage 4, end crystal, stage 5, 2.5 times as big as a charged creeper)
- Charge: The dragon runs at you, knocking you back and doing as much damage as a chomp.
- Grab-and-shake: The dragon grabs its target and rips it to shreds.
Hatching[1][]
Wild Stone Dragons can't be tamed, but you can hatch tamed Stone Dragons by surrounding a Stone Dragon egg with Coarse Dirt and Cobble..
Breeding[2][]
You can breed Stone Dragons if they're tamed, are stage 4 or 5, and have one male and female, giving them each a Glistening Lily Mixture. The female will dig a nest and lay her egg in it.
Skeletons[3][]
Their skeletons can be rarely found on extreme hills.
Other[]
Dragon Mace[]
this is a weapon crafted from a stone dragon's club tail and 2 withered bones. This weapon does 12 damage and can be upgraded with any kind of dragon blood to do 18 damage and have that dragon's bonus (freezing with ice, life-steal with forest, etc.). it has 1 speed and has a shift/right click ability to blow up some ground. It also has 560 durability.
Dragonsteel Mace[]
This mace is like the regular dragon mace but is made from dragonsteel. You surround a dragon blood-infused dragon club with 4 dragonsteel of the same type and put it on 2 withered bones. It does 35 damage along with the affects of the dragonsteel it's made with. It has 1.2 attack speed and 8,000 durability.
Dragon Club[]
Rarely obtainable from a stage 3+ dragon, it can be used as it is for 5 attack damage, or use it for a dragon mace that does 12 damage
