Dragons are mobs that are both hostile and tameable. They are the main focus of the Ice and Fire mod. Dragons are massive, bipedal reptiles that have massive, leathery wings, as well as the ability to breathe a special element.
There are currently three types of dragons: the Fire Dragon, Ice Dragon and the Lightning Dragon. Fire Dragons breathe fire, are immune to lava and can be found in any biome that ranges from a warm to cold climate, Ice Dragons breathe ice, can swim and can be only be found in snowy/frozen biomes, while the lightning dragon will hunt in crashing thunderstorms causing thunderous wake and immense damage in it's path..They are found in savanna, mesa and jungle.
A dragon has five stages while growing up, with stage one dragons being the weakest and most vulnerable, and stage five dragons being the largest and most powerful. The higher a dragon's stage, the more loot it will yield upon defeat. Killing a stage 4+ female dragon and looting it with right-click is also the only way to obtain a Dragon Egg (stage 5 has a chance to drop multiple up to 3 rarely), which can be hatched into a tamed baby dragon. Keep in mind that if you collect too much blood from a female stage 4+ dragon, the egg will not drop.
April Fool's Dragons[]
On April 1 2018, several new dragons were announced, the Steam Dragon, Rock Dragon, Poison Dragon, Lightning Dragon, I&F version Ender Dragon, Wither Dragon and Love Dragon. They were all announced for 'Ice and Fire 2.0". However, it turned out to be an April Fools joke. Funnily enough, when Ice and Fire reached a million downloads, the Lightning Dragon was added.
Hatched Dragons[]
When a dragon is hatched it will take time for it to grow. Each stage of growth takes a total of 25 Minecraft days, with the maximum growth being 125 days. A dragon's growth can be sped up by using Dragon Meal, which will age a dragon at a rate of 1 day per meal. When a dragon reaches stage 3 it can be ridden, which will allow the player to use the dragon's breath attacks and bite attack, in addition to regular flight. As a dragon grows its attacks will deal more damage.
Right clicking one with A dragon command staff can let you set a tamed dragon between wander, Escort, staying and also can set its home position by shift clicking. A dragon bone flute can tell it to get down to the ground
